Don't discard your fresh Christmas Tree:
Put it to use in your garden!
During
the winter, when soil goes through freezing and thawing
cycles, it can push the roots of perennials & small shrubs
up out of the soil. When exposed to frigid air, the roots
dry out, and your plant may die. Instead, cut the branches
from your Christmas tree & use them as mulch around the base
of your plants. This is a great way to reuse your tree
while providing extra insulation to your plants' root
systems! |
